palm tree lamp Comment SPAM on every post (Will be soon)

Ok, I gotta ask, what do the rest of you do to prevent comment spam. I turned up my Captcha and received less spam, but about an hour ago, I started to get comment spam about "palm tree lamp" 58 so far. At this rate in about an hour there will be comment spam on every blog post I made.

I'm not running a real old version of BlogCFC. Version 5 something... What do the rest of you running Blogcfc do to prevent this?

Rob Brooks-Bilson's Gravatar Captcha wasn't cutting it for me anymore, so I finally had to turn on comment moderation.

charlie griefer's Gravatar at the moment, i'm still just using the CAPTCHA that's built into blogCFC, but every now and then some spam gets thru.

i've been meaning to take a look into jake munson's cfformprotect (http://cfformprotect.riaforge.org/) that i've heard very good things about.

i also recall hearing about a 'global' blacklist of known spammer ip's... was going to look into that as well, but can't find info on that at the moment. read about it in some blog comments that were talking about... spam :)

Steven Erat's Gravatar I received one of the new comment emails from your site with the palm tree spam.... then I received one from another blog soon after with the same palm reference. That makes me think that its actually a clever bot that can fake out lyla captchas.

Steve Bryant's Gravatar At the risk of hawking my own (free) wares, this is what I did:
http://www.bryantwebconsulting.com/blog/index.cfm/...

Right now, I get about 1-2 spams a month with no CAPTCHA.

The nice thing is that you can add words/reg exs as needed if you see a new type of spam appear.
